For parents

The DDSB parent portal provides specific information about your child's education.

Transportation, pick-up and drop-off

We are a walking school, with no buses except for excursions.  Help us support a culture of respect and harmony by adhering to school bus and transportation safety rules. When driving your child(ren) to and from school, please use designated drop-off and pick-up locations. Our Kiss ‘n Ride is a “through” system, where passengers exit only at the front of the line, and only from the passenger side of the vehicle.  We cannot safely support students who exit the vehicle from the driver’s side, in our exit lane.  Teachers by grade designate pick- up for students after school.  When using these locations, please wait outside for your child.

Questions and concerns

If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s experience at school, begin by contacting your child's teacher. If you wish to meet with another staff member, contact the school office to book a meeting. Please remember to sign in at the school office when you arrive.

Attendance

Regular attendance supports positive student learning outcomes.  Please make it a priority to ensure your child attends regularly, and on time.  Lates and absenteeism are disruptive to your child’s learning.  If you do arrive late, ensure your child reports first to the office.
